According to a report from the Bac Ninh Provincial Land Development Center, the locality has advanced over 2,700 billion VND to pay compensation to approximately 5,000 households. The total area of agricultural land cleared to date has reached nearly 600 hectares. The implementation of this large volume of work in a short period demonstrates the province's efforts in creating clean land for this key national project.

Alongside the compensation process, the verification of land ownership is being accelerated. Authorities have completed land registration for 6,309 households and individuals out of a total of 6,707 households with land within the project area, equivalent to approximately 1,029 hectares. Of these, the origin of land use has been clarified for 818 hectares, while the remaining 445 hectares are still under review due to documentation issues.

To maintain progress, the province has developed a plan for the second phase of compensation for approximately 250 hectares of agricultural land with an estimated cost of 1,102 billion VND. Regarding residential land, land clearance is being implemented simultaneously in Luong Tai and Gia Binh communes. In Luong Tai commune alone, land registration has been completed for 558 households covering an area of over 17 hectares.

Regarding religious structures and tombs, authorities have inventoried 12,000 out of a total of 17,800 graves. However, this process faces some obstacles for structures with unique architecture such as communal houses, temples, and churches, where the actual value is higher than the current price framework, requiring the hiring of consultants to prepare separate cost estimates.

Decisive leadership is needed to reach the finish line early.

Chairman of the Bac Ninh Provincial People's Committee, Pham Hoang Son, affirmed that the Gia Binh International Airport project is a top priority. The province has established a 24/7 working group, directly led by Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Van Thinh, to promptly address difficulties regarding compensation and resettlement policies.
