Speaking at the opening of the workshop, Mr. Le Trong Minh, Editor-in-Chief of Investment Newspaper, said that the 29th Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP) will open in Baku (Azerbaijan) in just a few days. Financial and climate issues are currently the biggest concerns of countries around the world, and are expected to be the focus of discussion at the conference.
For Vietnam, after strong commitments on reducing CO2 emissions at COP26 in 2021 and commitments on energy transition at COP28 in 2023, it is continuing to affirm that it will take drastic actions to reduce CO2 emissions, green transition, and energy transition.
According to Mr. Minh, accompanying the Government on that journey, the business community in Vietnam is indispensable. The two current trends of digital transformation and green transformation (also known as dual transformation) are opening up huge opportunities, creating strong momentum for Vietnam, as well as the business community to transform to a sustainable business model, but also creating many institutional, financial and technological challenges.

At the workshop, experts said that in recent years, Vietnam has emerged as a dynamic factor in the global economy, with digital transformation and green transformation playing an important role as catalysts for the country's growth and development. These transformations are not only inevitable and irreversible trends, but also important strategies for sustainable economic development.
The intersection of digital transformation and green transformation creates a synergy that supports the benefits of both. Digital transformation is not only a means of modernizing the economy, but also provides powerful tools to promote green growth, while green activities can promote the adoption of sustainable digital solutions. To achieve such results, a business community with a high sense of responsibility and at the same time must pioneer the dual transformation.
At the workshop, the delegates discussed and shared experiences on solutions to optimize available resources, minimize business costs in implementing green transformation, digital transformation, dual transformation, to spread value in the community. At the same time, they discussed solutions to effectively access green credit capital based on the practical experience of a number of businesses, thereby providing advice for other businesses to overcome difficulties.
