Currently, the province has over 55,000 war veterans, of which more than 14,000 are Party members, including 1,348 members participating in Party committees and government at all levels. This is a core force with strong political resolve, rich practical experience, and high social prestige, playing an important role in propagating and educating the younger generation about revolutionary traditions. With a sense of responsibility and dedication, war veterans have actively participated in nurturing revolutionary ideals, patriotism, and self-reliance among young people; contributing to protecting the Party's ideological foundation and continuing the glorious traditions of the nation.

Chairman of the Provincial Veterans Association, Dam Huy Dac, stated: In the context of the complex global situation stemming from current geopolitical conflicts, the education of revolutionary traditions is becoming increasingly urgent, as a segment of young people still lack ideals, have diminished faith, and a diminished sense of responsibility towards the community. Therefore, through propaganda and educational activities, the Veterans Association aims to help the younger generation better understand their roles and responsibilities, thereby encouraging them to study, train, and be ready to contribute to the cause of building and defending the Fatherland.
Closely adhering to the requirements of the new situation, the Veterans' Associations at all levels in the province have proactively innovated the content and methods of traditional education, ensuring suitability for each group of young people. In 2026, with many important political events taking place in the country such as the 14th National Party Congress, the National Assembly and People's Council elections for the 2026-2031 term, propaganda work is determined to be one step ahead. The associations at all levels will focus on widely disseminating information about the results of the Party congresses at all levels, the significance of the National Assembly and People's Council elections; thereby contributing to raising the political awareness and sense of responsibility of the younger generation towards the country.
Veterans' associations at all levels have closely coordinated with the Youth Union and the Military Command at the same level to organize many activities to propagate and educate about revolutionary traditions. Since the beginning of the year, units have conducted propaganda for over 3,000 young people and more than 2,400 citizens ready to enlist in 2026. The content focuses on the glorious traditions of the Vietnam People's Army, the responsibilities of young people in the cause of national defense; contributing to raising awareness and training awareness among young people before they enlist.
In addition to focusing on propaganda work, the Veterans' Associations at all levels also pay attention to caring for and encouraging young people before and after completing their military service. Veterans' Associations in communes, wards, and special zones organized visits and presented gifts to over 1,500 soldiers who completed their service and returned to their localities in early 2026; they also coordinated with relevant units to support career guidance, create jobs, and help former soldiers stabilize their lives and continue contributing to society. These activities not only demonstrate the responsibility of the Association but also contribute to spreading humanitarian values and strengthening the trust of young people in the organization and the community.

Every year, the Provincial Veterans Association, in coordination with the Provincial Youth Union and relevant units, organizes numerous traditional education programs in diverse forms such as: seminars, exchanges, thematic talks, journeys to historical sites, meetings with historical witnesses, etc. These activities are organized during major national holidays and attract a large number of youth union members, students, and university students. In 2025 alone, the province organized 74 seminars and exchanges "following the footsteps of history" with the participation of nearly 38,000 youth union members and young people. Through the authentic and vivid stories of veterans, the younger generation has the opportunity to better understand the nation's history, thereby further appreciating the values of peace, independence, and freedom.
In parallel, the Veterans' Associations at all levels have actively coordinated with various departments, agencies, and organizations to promote the dissemination of the Party's guidelines and policies, and the State's laws and regulations; to educate on ethics, lifestyle, and cultural norms; and to prevent and combat social evils among young people. Many patriotic emulation movements, volunteer activities, and support for young people starting and developing businesses have also been effectively implemented, creating an environment for young people to train, contribute, and grow.
Through practical and effective activities, the revolutionary tradition education work of the Veterans Association has contributed to the formation of a generation of young people with firm political convictions, beautiful ideals, and a high sense of responsibility to society. Many young people have demonstrated a pioneering and creative spirit in their studies, work, and production, actively participating in the socio-economic development of their localities.
