As of 8:00 AM on September 27th, the price of gold rings has surged, reaching an unprecedented peak of over 83 million VND per tael, closely approaching the price of SJC gold bars.

Specifically, the listed price for SJC 9999 gold rings is 81.3 million VND/ounce for buying and 82.7 million VND/ounce for selling, an increase of 500,000 VND for buying and 400,000 VND for selling.

DOJI gold ring prices in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City markets increased by 550,000 VND for buying and 400,000 VND for selling, reaching 82.5 million VND/ounce and 83.35 million VND/ounce respectively. PNJ brand gold rings are listed at 82.1 million VND/ounce and 83.2 million VND/ounce, an increase of 200,000 VND for buying and 250,000 VND for selling.

Bao Tin Minh Chau listed the price of plain gold rings at 82.23 million VND/ounce for buying and 83.33 million VND/ounce for selling, an increase of 400,000 VND in both buying and selling prices. Phu Quy SJC is buying gold rings at 82.1 million VND/ounce and selling them at 83.2 million VND/ounce, an increase of 200,000 VND in both directions compared to early yesterday morning.

Meanwhile, the price of gold bars remains unchanged. Currently, Saigon Jewelry Company (SJC) lists the buying price of gold at 81.5 million VND/ounce; the selling price is 83.5 million VND/ounce, unchanged in both buying and selling prices compared to the opening of the trading session on the same day. The difference between the buying and selling price of SJC gold is 2 million VND/ounce.

At the same time, DOJI Group listed the buying and selling price of gold at 81.5–83.5 million VND/ounce, unchanged in both buying and selling prices compared to the opening of the trading session on September 26th. The difference between the buying and selling price of DOJI gold is currently 2 million VND/ounce.

SJC gold bars are currently being sold by Agribank , BIDV, Vietcombank, VietinBank, and gold and jewelry companies at 83.5 million VND/ounce. On the buying side, the price of gold from various brands is listed at 81.5 million VND/ounce.

According to Kitco, the spot price of gold in the world market at 5:00 AM Vietnam time today was $2,672.25 USD/ounce. Today's gold price increased by $15.07 USD compared to yesterday's price. Converted using the current exchange rate at Vietcombank , the world gold price is approximately VND 78.435 million per tael (excluding taxes and fees). Therefore, the price of SJC gold bars is still VND 3.065 million per tael higher than the international gold price.

World gold prices rose today, at one point exceeding $2,690, marking a continued surge to a record high this year. This represents a +5.48% increase over the past month and a +40% increase over the past year. Last month, gold prices surpassed $2,500 per ounce.

According to Paul Jouvenet, an essayist and consultant on international affairs, the challenging global economic situation amid ongoing inflationary pressures will support gold prices in the range of $2,400-$2,700 per troy ounce by December 2024.
