Cross-consumption

For many years, this cross-consumption has helped members understand each other better, become closer, and create support from within the association, especially in a market with many obstacles and unstable purchasing power.

Following the restructuring, reorganization, and upgrading of operations in the context of the provincial merger, related branches have begun to merge, creating new strengths. For example, in early July, the Ham Tan District Young Entrepreneurs Association was dissolved due to the absence of a district-level organization, and 15 companies and businesses joined the Binh Thuan - Lam Dong Province Business Association (the association). In what is considered a purely agricultural area but lacking irrigation, after more than 7 years of operation, the Ham Tan Young Entrepreneurs Association has a total revenue of over 2,000 billion VND for its members, providing employment for over 1,000 workers with an average salary of over 5 million VND/person/month, and paying over 20 billion VND in taxes annually. At the same time, the association participates in many social welfare activities, serving as a support for many organizations and localities in charitable work with an annual funding of over 1.3 billion VND.

Notably, these members operate in various fields, so their integration into the Binh Thuan Business Association of Lam Dong Province has contributed to enriching and diversifying the production and business sectors. Meanwhile, other branches and clubs in the coastal areas of the province are still in the process of discussion and planning. According to the leaders of the Binh Thuan Business Association of Lam Dong Province, continuing to recruit members and expanding the business sectors within the association is the direction the association will focus on in the coming time. This will not only demonstrate convergence but also contribute to increasing the rate of cross-consumption of products among members of the association.

For many years, since the Ministry of Industry and Trade launched the "Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods" campaign, the association has also implemented the "Members prioritize using services and goods from members" program. Because the association includes garment companies, dragon fruit exporters, etc., that need packaging daily, there are also member companies that produce packaging products. There are also some petroleum companies and Co.opmart supermarkets, so members unanimously agree to consume petroleum products and purchase goods from the supermarkets of the association's member companies. Businesses in production and trade need capital, and the association has 7 bank branches to ensure the timely and appropriate supply of funds. And even products like insurance and security services are purchased by members for the insurance and security companies within the association...

For many years, this cross-consumption has helped members understand each other better, strengthen their bonds, and stabilize production and business, creating internal support, especially in a market with many obstacles and unstable purchasing power. Through this, coordination in product promotion and introduction, and business networking within the association has become more convenient, facilitated through trade promotion activities, member conferences, and business networking on Zalo groups. This business networking has boosted production and business, and improved the development of member enterprises.

To date, the association has 145 members, including one organizational member, the Women Entrepreneurs Club, with 53 members operating in various industries. In the coastal area of the province, many similar associations, groups, and clubs have been established in recent times, based on the need for networking to stabilize and expand production and business. This is considered fertile ground that the association says it will attract more members to. The aim is to promote positive outcomes for production and business, especially to increase cross-consumption among members. This is a strategic direction to maintain consumer demand and expand sustainable market outlets for businesses.
