'I never saw my father'

Appearing in episode 4 of Rap Viet season 3, contestant Cong Hieu moved the judges, coaches, and audience to tears with a song named after his son, Huynh Kim Long.

Cong Hieu received all three judges' votes and 95% of the audience votes for his sincere expression of a son's feelings for his father and his successful portrayal of a father's sacrifice and compassion.

The contestant's true story was cleverly interwoven into the song, moving coach B Ray to share: "Actually, lately I've been healing some wounds with my father, so listening to your performance touched me deeply. The way you conveyed the message was excellent; everything was in the right place, making the song very moving!"

When asked by MC Tran Thanh about his unusual style, contestant Cong Hieu said: “For me, this is a big competition, and I honestly don't know if I have a chance to continue. I decided to use this opportunity to thank my father because I've never apologized or thanked him before. I'm a more introverted person and rarely express my feelings. So, I wanted to use this song to send a message to my father.”

Commenting on the contestant's performance, Judge Karik was moved: "Thank you for bringing this performance to the stage, and you did very well; it even brought tears to my eyes. I also want to congratulate your parents for giving you that name, so that today you can stand here and show everyone that you are a very filial child. Congratulations to your wife because after everything that has happened here, I see that you are a very grateful person, a family man."

Judge JustaTee couldn't hold back his tears, sharing: "I'm just like you. I didn't even see my father during my teenage years when I wanted to prove myself. I left home for many days, until I proved to him that I had succeeded on the path I chose. That was the day my father and I were finally able to talk after many years."

Judge JustaTee also sent a message to the audience: "If we can still connect with our fathers, if we can still talk to them, then no matter what happens, let's cherish the time we can spend with our families normally."

After Cong Hieu's tear-jerking performance, the three judges decided to bring the contestant to coach B Ray's team.

Liu Grace was also an impressive contestant in episode 4 of the show. As soon as she appeared on stage, she immediately attracted attention with her sexy outfit and highly-rated performance.

Choosing to perform the song "Little Ringed Dove ," this female contestant immediately caused a sensation in the audience. At the end of her performance, she impressively received 4 votes from the 4 coaches and 80% of the audience vote.

Commenting on the contestant's performance, Suboi shared: "I love you, your two personalities were very clear today, one side was very fierce, the other side was playful and cute. I didn't think the other contestants here could do that like you."

MC Tran Thanh continued: "This is exactly the kind of style the show needs. The female contestants really need to be as flexible as their personalities, but of course, flexibility alone isn't enough; they need a bit more passion and intensity, and that's definitely what we need."

Coach Andree also didn't miss the opportunity to persuade the contestant: "I listen to a lot of your music, I'm a fan of yours. To be honest, I listen to very few female rappers in Vietnam, those are Suboi, Tlinh, Kimmese, and the fourth one is you."

Pressing the button to select a contestant right from the first seconds of the performance, Coach Thai VG seemed extremely impatient when he saw the three judges repeatedly suggesting that Liu Grace should join Andree and B Ray's team instead of his.

Thai VG repeatedly and impatiently asserted that he was the one who chose Liu Grace first. Finally, seeing that the three judges weren't on his side, Thai VG exploded: "These three talk too much! If necessary, I'll throw away this golden hat. Don't make me throw it away!"

It's rare to see Thai VG lose his composure like this since the beginning of the show. His reaction amused the audience. However, the attractiveness of this sexy female contestant caused not only Thai VG to "throw his hat" but also the other three coaches to throw their golden hats, creating a fierce competition.

After the 10-second countdown ended, Liu Grace decided to accept the hat and become a member of Coach Thai VG's team.
