Grade 10 exams will be held on June 6th and 7th.

On the morning of February 6th, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training released information regarding the 10th grade entrance exam.

Accordingly, the 10th grade entrance exam in Ho Chi Minh City will take place on June 6th and 7th. Candidates will take exams in three subjects: Mathematics, Literature (120 minutes/subject), and Foreign Language (90 minutes).

Candidates applying to specialized high schools must take a fourth subject (the specialized subject) exam, with a time limit of 150 minutes per subject. Each specialized subject has its own exam paper based on the junior high school curriculum, and the exam content ensures the selection of students with aptitude in that specialized subject.

Ho Chi Minh City announces admission methods for grade 6.

The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training has also just announced information regarding the guidelines for admission criteria to junior high schools for the 2025-2026 school year.

Accordingly, Tran Dai Nghia Secondary and High School and some other local secondary schools may conduct admissions based on a combination of two criteria: academic and behavioral performance during primary school years and the results of a competency assessment survey.

Specifically, local junior high schools must simultaneously meet two requirements: They must have a number of registered candidates exceeding the enrollment quota in recent years, and they must be nominated by the People's Committee of Thu Duc City, districts, or counties.

The remaining secondary schools conduct admissions based on academic and behavioral performance at the primary school level and use data from GIS maps for student allocation. The enrollment areas for these schools are determined by the People's Committee of Thu Duc City and the respective districts and counties, based on the actual situation in each locality.

The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training notes that detailed information regarding the organizational process, registration methods, implementation time, admission requirements, and related content is stipulated in the city's enrollment plan for the first grade and in guiding documents issued by the department.

The unit requests that the Department of Education and Training of Thu Duc City, districts, and counties organize the full implementation to all units and ensure that the information reaches students and their parents.
