In 2025, Quang Ninh's education sector will experience many important milestones as it collaborates with other localities to implement a two-tiered government system, reorganize and streamline the administrative apparatus of schools and classes, and actively implement Resolution No. 71-NQ/TW dated August 22, 2025, of the Politburo on breakthroughs in education and training development. However, thanks to the close attention and guidance of the province, the education sector has reaped "sweet fruits," creating outstanding achievements in 2025 and the new year 2026.

Despite significant impacts from the implementation of a two-tiered local government system, 2025 is expected to be a year of continued outstanding achievements for Quang Ninh's education sector, particularly in improving the quality of advanced education. The national student excellence competition marked an impressive milestone with 88 awards – the highest ever – including 2 first prizes, 27 second prizes, 30 third prizes, and 29 consolation prizes, placing Quang Ninh among the provinces and cities with the highest number of awards nationwide. One student won a Bronze Medal in the International Informatics Olympiad, and another won a Silver Medal in the Abu Rayhan-Biruni 2025 International Chemistry Olympiad. In the 2025 high school graduation exam, Quang Ninh ranked 12th out of 34 provinces and cities.

Continuously investing in school infrastructure, paying attention to students at all levels with specific and unique policies, and continuing to vigorously implement fundamental and comprehensive educational reforms, Quang Ninh province has allocated nearly 3,300 billion VND from its budget for education investment during the 2021-2025 period, 2.3 times more than the previous period. The percentage of schools meeting national standards currently stands at over 92%, creating a solid foundation for innovation in teaching and learning methods.

These included 2 first prizes (in Chinese language), 16 second prizes, 35 third prizes, and 29 consolation prizes. Notably, in Mathematics, Informatics, Chemistry, and Biology, 9 out of 10 participating students from the province won awards. With these results, Quang Ninh ranked 8th out of 34 provinces and cities nationwide.

Ha Long Specialized High School continues to be the leading school in the province, and is also among the top-performing schools nationwide with 80 awards; the remaining 2 awards went to Hon Gai High School and Dong Thanh High School.

In the coming period, Quang Ninh province has identified one of its key tasks as continuing to improve the quality of education, training, and healthcare services, ensuring the comprehensive development of people's lives. This is clearly reflected in the Resolution of the 16th Provincial Party Congress, term 2025-2030. The province will continue to effectively implement Resolution No. 71-NQ/TW dated August 22, 2025, of the Politburo on breakthroughs in education and training development. The focus will be on modernizing and innovating educational methods, promoting investment and application of science and technology, digital transformation, and the application of artificial intelligence (AI) in education management, teaching and learning, and building a lifelong learning society; strengthening life skills and foreign language education for students; implementing two-session schooling per day in schools with sufficient resources; and promoting socialization, cooperation, and linkages in education and training, developing private education and continuing education. With the consistent view that education is a top national priority, and that caring for education and training is also caring for the sustainable development of the province, Quang Ninh aims to become one of the top 10 provinces with the best quality education in the country by 2030, narrowing the educational gap between regions within the province, ensuring that all students have access to quality educational services, and making Quang Ninh one of the centers for education and training of high-quality human resources in the region.
