During his lifetime, translator and art critic Duong Tuong once commented that Le Thu's paintings have "the contrast between the boundless immensity of the earth and sky and the smallness and finiteness of humans, or of human life".
Artist Le Thu will hold a solo exhibition of Nghe Du paintings from January 16 to 21 at the Vietnam Fine Arts Museum. The exhibition introduces 30 of the artist's most passionate oil paintings such as: Autumn Afternoon, New Moon, Changing Seasons, Cold Mist, Dawn, Bright Streaks ... Throughout and consistent in the exhibition of Nghe Du paintings are vast, free and immense spaces, opened up through each work. "Spaces always attract me intensely. I wander in them and feel free" - artist Le Thu shared.









Artist Le Thu was born in 1959 in Hanoi . After graduating from the Vietnam University of Fine Arts, she successfully organized 11 solo exhibitions domestically and internationally such as: Yearing (1999, Hanoi), Art & Soul (2003, Singapore), Sampa (2004, Denmark), Vietnamese Soul (2009, Italy) and group exhibitions. |
