With the desire to join hands in supporting students from disadvantaged backgrounds and spreading the spirit of "mutual support and compassion" in the community, the People's Committee of Son Cam Ha commune organized the launching ceremony of the Socialization Program to support textbooks for students from policy beneficiary families, poor households, near-poor households, and students from disadvantaged backgrounds in the 2026-2027 school year.
According to statistics, in the 2026-2027 school year, Son Cam Ha commune has 780 students who need textbook support, with a total funding requirement of over 525 million VND.
In light of this situation, the local authorities are calling on agencies, units, businesses, cooperatives, organizations, philanthropists, and the public to join hands in supporting with funding, new textbooks, or textbooks that are still in good condition to help the children have better learning conditions.

Immediately after the launching ceremony, officials, civil servants, and employees from agencies, units, and businesses in the area donated more than 34 million VND. Previously, through a fundraising appeal letter from the People's Committee of the commune, the program received more than 127 million VND from organizations, individuals, and philanthropists inside and outside the locality.
Mr. Pham Viet Hau, Chairman of the People's Committee of Son Cam Ha commune, said that providing textbooks not only helps reduce the financial burden on families before the new school year but also contributes to ensuring the necessary learning conditions for students from disadvantaged backgrounds.
"We hope to receive the support of the community so that all students in the area have sufficient textbooks when entering the new school year, practically encouraging them on their learning journey," Mr. Hau added.
According to the leaders of Son Cam Ha commune People's Committee, the program will be maintained in the following school years, linked with the construction of "Shared Bookcases" at schools to promote the effective use of textbooks, spread the spirit of sharing and community responsibility in caring for the cause of education .

Sow seeds of love through the pages of a book.
In addition to mobilizing resources to donate new textbooks to disadvantaged students, many localities have also implemented models for collecting and sharing used books, spreading the spirit of saving and sharing within the community.
In Thang Binh commune, the Youth Union, in coordination with the Commune Children's Council, launched the program "Sharing Love - Supporting Children's Education," calling on union members, young people, parents, and children to join hands in donating textbooks, reference books, and many other age-appropriate books that are still in good condition, contributing to enriching the "Library of Love."

Ms. Vo Thi Le Thu, Secretary of the Thang Binh Commune Youth Union, said that books that have been read may no longer be necessary for some people, but they are a valuable source of encouragement for others. Therefore, let's share our books to bring more learning opportunities to young children.
In response to the program, many parents and students contributed textbooks and reference books that were still in good condition and suitable for the learning needs of each age group, reducing educational costs for disadvantaged families.
The spirit of sharing for underprivileged students is also spreading at Ngo Quyen Primary School (Quang Phu Ward). Accordingly, the school organized the donation of textbooks to students in grades 2, 3, 4, and 5 who are preparing to enter the 2026-2027 school year.

Nguyen Thi Mai, a student in class 4A at Ngo Quyen Primary School, shared: “I am very happy to receive textbooks before the new school year and I will take good care of them and try my best to study well.”
The Dien Ban Volunteer Association is also actively campaigning and receiving new notebooks, textbooks, reference books, and children's stories to prepare for volunteer trips to mountainous areas before the start of the new school year.
Ms. Tran Thi Lam, Vice Head of the association, shared that it is estimated that each year, the association collects more than 2,000 notebooks, textbooks, comic books, and many other school supplies to donate to students in remote areas.
"Although the books and notebooks we donate may not have great material value, they contain the affection and sharing of the community for disadvantaged students. We hope to contribute to giving them more motivation to confidently move forward on their educational path," said Ms. Lam.
