Hue Power Company (PC Hue) announced that Earth Hour 2025 will take place on Saturday, March 22, 2025, from 8:30 PM to 9:30 PM with the theme "Green Transition - Green Future". Accordingly, in response to Earth Hour 2025, Hue Power Company has disseminated information to its affiliated units, educating its staff on electricity saving and environmental protection, and participating in the "National Energy Saving Movement in Response to Earth Hour 2025" with the message "Green Transition - Green Future".

Through unified media publications, participate by changing your avatar on your personal social media accounts until the end of March 2025. At the same time, proactively turn off lights and unnecessary electrical devices on weekdays as well as during the annual Earth Hour event.

Implement electricity saving measures.

Employees of Hue Power Company are intensifying efforts to fully implement electricity saving measures at their offices, workplaces, and homes, striving to reduce monthly electricity demand by 10% compared to the same period last year and by 15% during peak months from April to July 2025.

In addition, strengthen the management of electricity consumption at the Company's office building and monitor the implementation of energy-saving and efficient electricity use at subordinate units. Continue to implement solutions and measures to save electricity at the power unit headquarters, striving to reduce monthly and annual electricity consumption in 2025 to no higher than the same period in 2024, without affecting the unit's regular operations.

Turn off lights and unnecessary electrical equipment during the Earth Hour event from 8:30 PM to 9:30 PM on Saturday, March 22, 2025, at the company office, except for electrical equipment used for routine operations such as security, fire prevention and control, power system operation, telecommunications, and communication. Subordinate power companies should proactively implement electricity saving measures at their headquarters, ensuring electricity consumption does not exceed the same period in 2024 and minimizing consumption during the dry months from April to July; promote the 2025 Earth Hour campaign at power company headquarters and customer service offices through appropriate means.

In addition, employees actively participated in movements such as the online survey "Survey on training needs for communication skills in the field of energy saving for managers and local electricity officials" organized by the Ministry of Industry and Trade ; the online run in response to Earth Hour 2025; and the online competition "Learn about energy saving in response to Earth Hour 2025..."

The implementation of activities in response to the Earth Hour Campaign combines the tasks assigned in Directive No. 20/CT-TTg dated June 8, 2023, of the Prime Minister on strengthening electricity saving in the period 2023-2025 and subsequent years.

In 2024, after one hour of switching off lights in response to the Earth Hour campaign, the entire province of Thua Thien Hue (now Hue City) saved 18,100 kWh of electricity. For overall electricity savings in the year, the total electricity saved in 2024 reached 61.104 million kWh, representing a saving rate of 2.87% compared to the total commercial electricity output (2,131.412 million kWh).
