Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Khuat Quang Tuan - Party Secretary, Principal of the College of Technology and Industrial Economics emphasized that after 56 years of construction and development, the school has trained tens of thousands of technical and managerial staff for the locality in particular and the country in general, contributing greatly to the cause of building and defending the country. The school currently trains 52 occupations, including 24 college-level occupations and 5 ASEAN key occupations. The proportion of ethnic minority students accounts for more than 70% of the total number of students of the whole school; including Kinh, H'Mong, Dao, Muong, Thai, Nung, Tay, Giay, Ha Nhi, ... from the northern mountainous provinces.
Over the years, the school has promoted the spirit of responsibility, solidarity, initiative, creativity, democracy, overcoming difficulties and achieving comprehensive results in all fields. Enrollment has met and exceeded the assigned targets in all three training systems; completed and innovated the program and curriculum according to the accumulation of modules and credits; applied teaching organization; trained high-quality programs for key occupations at the ASEAN and national levels; training quality has been improved to meet the requirements of production and the labor market. Cooperating with employers, right from the practice and internship stages combined with production labor, students have both gained practical experience and earned additional income, so students have been able to participate in professional activities directly at the units, so after graduation, most of them are recruited right at the school.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Bui Huy Son - Director of the Department of Planning and Finance (Ministry of Industry and Trade) assessed that the College of Technology and Industrial Economics (IETC) is one of the colleges in Thai Nguyen province with increasingly good training quality, affirmed by learners and society. In recent years, the school has made many important contributions to the training of high-quality human resources for the Industry and Trade sector, Thai Nguyen province and the whole country, actively contributing to the socio-economic development of the locality and the country. At the same time, in the past school year, the school has always tried to focus on improving the quality of training, especially focusing on training skills and vocational skills for learners to meet social needs. Training management is focused on building training plans for each course and each semester, as well as making timetables, arranging and managing the teaching and learning process to create favorable conditions for training quality to be increasingly improved.
According to Mr. Bui Huy Son, the current socio-economic development, the Industrial Revolution 4.0 with smart devices integrating technology has been and is strongly changing the way of production, promoting the global development of the knowledge economy and digital economy. That context poses many tasks for the education and training sector in general and the School in particular in training high-quality human resources, ensuring the development of the country in the new period.
Therefore, Mr. Bui Huy Son suggested that the Party Committee, the Board of Directors, and teachers of the School pay attention to performing well the key tasks including: continuing to thoroughly grasp and effectively implement the Party's viewpoints, especially the Resolution of the 13th Congress, the Party and State's relevant policies and guidelines on building Vietnamese people in the new conditions, especially developing high-quality human resources; proactively promoting international cooperation in training, fostering and scientific research: prioritizing the development of high-quality training programs; promoting autonomy; synchronously innovating the content, programs and methods of education and training in the direction of modernization, international integration, and linking with the practical needs of society. Investing in, exploiting and effectively using modern facilities and teaching and learning equipment; Focus on building and nurturing a team of managers and lecturers with high qualifications and professional capacity, performing well in the role of management, guiding learners, promoting students' initiative, creativity and self-study and research capacity.
In addition to professional and skill training, the School needs to focus on building a healthy learning and entertainment environment; strengthening education and training in ethics, lifestyle, and life skills for students, helping them deeply understand and appreciate the traditional values of the nation in addition to absorbing the cultural values of the world; thereby nurturing the aspiration to rise up, develop comprehensively in intelligence, physical strength, creativity and ethics; creating a solid foundation so that when graduating, students will become honest, humane people, with both professional qualifications and the ability to integrate globally, as well as patriotism, national pride and a sense of responsibility towards the country and society.
On this occasion, the School, organizations, departments, unions and partner businesses also supported talented scholarships for students with excellent academic achievements. In particular, many students in difficult circumstances were awarded scholarships to encourage them to make more efforts in their studies and contribute to the school's activities in the future.
