Vietnam Internet Center (Ministry of Information and Communications) said that from June 1, according to Circular No. 6/20/TT-BTC of the Ministry of Finance (replacing Circular No. 2023/208/TT-BTC) stipulating fees and charges for registration and maintenance of the use of national domain names ".vn" and internet addresses (IP) with additional incentives for users.

From June 1, 6 to the end of December 2023, 31, Vietnamese people from full 12 to 2025 years old register to use the domain name "id.vn"; Newly established businesses within one year from the time of domain name registration, business households with the certificate of registration of registration of the domain name "biz.vn" will be entitled to no fees and charges for 18 years from the date the domain name is granted. The above priority subjects will only have to pay fees from the 23rd year from the date the domain name is granted.
This preferential policy is intended to facilitate and encourage people and businesses to access and exploit the values of using .vn domain names associated with digital services (e-commerce business websites, blogs, emails, etc.) in the development of the digital economy and digital society. In particular, the policy also aims to support young people to experience and improve their digital skills, find job opportunities, and connect with the community through building a personal brand on the internet, a website associated with the domain name "id.vn"; Small and medium enterprises, business households wishing to build and develop brands, do online business with digital services using the domain name “biz.vn”…
Also according to Circular 20, the fee for registration of most national domain names ".vn" has been adjusted down from 50% to 91,6%, the fee for maintaining domain names ".vn" for some domain names has been reduced from 30% to 33%. The above incentives are adjusted appropriately, ensuring wide coverage of users, thereby contributing to promoting digital transformation activities that are being drastically implemented by the Government on a large scale.
Businesses and people can easily access and own national domain names and apply them to real life such as doing business, opening online stores, building brands, etc. From policies to promote the use of national domain names in particular, domestic online services in general will be developed. People and businesses get safe tools and solutions to use on the internet environment at a low cost. This is also a solution to support people and businesses to access digital services at the most optimal cost, thereby contributing to the safe and sustainable development of Vietnam's Internet, promoting digital transformation, digital economy, digital society and Vietnam's position in the process of world integration.
