The event was organized by the Vietnam Cinema Promotion and Development Association (VFDA) in coordination with AVSE Global, under the auspices of the Vietnamese Embassy in France, to promote typical works and connect Vietnamese cinema with the world .
At this event, 17 films representing many stages of development of Vietnamese cinema over more than half a century, from the war, post-war to the period of renovation and international integration will be screened, including: When October Comes, Wild Fields, Apartments, Retired Generals, Don't Be Afraid, Children in the Dew, Coolie Never Cries, I See Yellow Flowers on the Green Grass, Rain on Butterfly Wings, Brilliant Ashes, Wake Up and Be Ready, Clouds But Not Rain, Somewhere by the Hospital, Elephants on the Roadside, Song Lang and two new films that attract attention: Red Rain, Death Battle in the Air .
Two of the films will be screened at Film Week in France.

Notably, the organizers chose Red Rain and Sky Deathmatch to open and close the film week. Both have made a strong impression at the Vietnamese box office recently. Red Rain with a revenue of over 714 billion VND became the highest-grossing Vietnamese film in history; while Sky Deathmatch earned over 250 billion VND and maintained its position as the highest-grossing Vietnamese action film at the box office ever.
In addition to the screenings, the event also includes a photo exhibition, talks, artist exchanges and a workshop on Vietnamese-French cinema cooperation. The theme Vietnamese Cinema - Journey of Light was chosen by Dr. Ngo Phuong Lan - President of VFDA, aiming to portray the multi-layered appearance of Vietnamese cinema, while opening up opportunities for Vietnamese cinema to reach European audiences and strengthen international cooperation projects.
