The event, organized by the Vietnam Film Promotion and Development Association (VFDA) in collaboration with AVSE Global and under the patronage of the Vietnamese Embassy in France, aims to promote outstanding works and connect Vietnamese cinema with the world .
At this event, 17 films representing various stages of Vietnamese cinema's development over more than half a century, from the war and post-war periods to the period of reform and international integration, will be screened, including: When Will October Come?, The Wild Field, The Apartment Building, The Retired General, Bi, Don't Be Afraid, Children in the Mist, The Coolie Never Cries, I See Yellow Flowers on Green Grass, Rain on Butterfly Wings, Brilliant Ashes, Wake Up and Be Ready, Clouds But No Rain, Somewhere Beside the Hospital, Elephants by the Roadside, Song Lang, along with two new films that have attracted attention: Red Rain and Death Battle in the Air .
Two of the films will be screened at Film Week in France.

Notably, the organizers chose "Red Rain" and "Battle in the Air" to open and close the film week, respectively. Both have made a strong impact at the Vietnamese box office recently. " Red Rain," with a revenue of over 714 billion VND, became the highest-grossing Vietnamese film in history; while "Battle in the Air" earned over 250 billion VND, maintaining its position as the highest-grossing Vietnamese action film ever.
Besides the screenings, the event also includes a photo exhibition, panel discussions, artist exchanges, and a workshop on Vietnam-France film cooperation. The theme, " Vietnamese Cinema - A Journey of Light, " chosen by Dr. Ngo Phuong Lan, President of the VFDA, aims to portray the multifaceted nature of Vietnamese cinema while opening opportunities for Vietnamese films to reach European audiences and strengthen international cooperation projects.
