After the 2023 World Cup, the Vietnamese women's team that wants to get the next tickets needs more cooperation and effort, and the domestic tournament needs to be upgraded.
The domestic league needs to be raised
A national football team that wants to be strong and has depth needs a professional and methodical national league system. The participating clubs must be strong and even to create competition, from which to select the best factors to serve the national team.
The sad reality with Vietnamese women's football for many years is that there are only a few localities around and the club participates in the national tournament.
In the 2022 season, only 5 localities have teams participating in the tournament, namely Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi, Thai Nguyen, Quang Ninh and Ha Nam, then Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi "set up" more Ho Chi Minh City teams. Chi Minh II and Hanoi II for the tournament to be "swarmed", while the quality of the players was completely inferior to the rest of the teams.
Quick calculation, with only 7 teams participating in the national tournament, the country has about 200-300 female players. If you include in the U.19 and U.16 tournaments, it's somewhere around 500-600 players, too few numbers to screen and select a really good and strong enough national team.
A sign of prosperity over the past time is that we have added a National Cup playground for female players to have more tournaments to rub.
At the same time, the U.19 and U.16 women's tournaments were also held to prepare the next generation of players for the clubs, but only in the above localities, but not widely paid attention.
The 2023 World Cup is considered a push to help Vietnamese women's football receive more attention from sponsors and sponsors.
It is from those resources that the expectation for a national championship will be raised, the quality of players' lives will be more concerned and improved to stabilize in practice and competition.
Need some cooperation
To prepare for the 2023 World Cup, the Vietnamese women's team has had many training trips abroad, competing with the world's top strong opponents.
Of course, such training trips are very useful for Vietnamese football, as we will learn a lot from developed football backgrounds, about tactical techniques, or building and organizing the competition system. fight…
Looking from the 2023 World Cup, the resilience and courage of Huynh Nhu and his teammates alone is not enough. We can see the gap is too far in terms of level and class with our opponents, which cannot be changed overnight, but needs a plan, a long-term strategy for Vietnamese women's football. Nam, to be able to look forward to the 2nd, 3rd World Cup…
As mentioned above, the first thing to do is to "upgrade" the national championship as well as the youth tournaments, and at the same time pay more attention to the training of young people, search for talent...
Then, taking advantage of the resources of overseas Vietnamese players, Vietnamese players... VFF President Tran Quoc Tuan also emphasized that these players have the desire and desire to wear the Vietnamese women's team shirt. create all the best conditions to devote to the colors of the flag.
Another issue that has also been mentioned by coach Mai Duc Chung is how to improve height and fitness. Therefore, nutritional factors also need to be paid special attention to to help our female players grow in stature, avoiding losses compared to competitors who are physically fit.
tall…
The creation of conditions for players, especially young players to go abroad, is also a strategy to be noticed. Going to play in developed football platforms will form a mindset, improve professional skills so that players can develop top-notch football.
In short, Vietnamese women's football needs to have a really good domestic tournament, and at the same time have a long-term development strategy, with a vision so that the 2023 World Cup is not our final limit, but also the next World Cups…
