U23 Thailand faced U23 Myanmar on the opening day of the 2023 Southeast Asian U23 Championship. The home team quickly took control of the game and put U23 Myanmar in a difficult position. With this result, U23 Cambodia is the leading team in Group A, ranked above U23 Thailand due to better sub-index.
