*Mr. Tran Trong Hieu - Chairman of the Chinese Mutual Aid Association of Chau Doc Ward: BELIEVING AN GIANG WILL CONTINUE TO DEVELOP

I am very pleased to look back at the achievements of the Chinese community in Chau Doc ward over the past year. With a spirit of national unity and unwavering support for the Party's guidelines and the State's policies and laws, the Chinese community has actively participated in social welfare activities, contributing to improving the lives of local people.

In 2025 alone, the Chinese Mutual Aid Association of Chau Doc Ward mobilized and distributed over 20 tons of rice to disadvantaged households both within and outside the locality; contributed to the spring tree planting fund; campaigned for the construction of solidarity houses for poor households; and awarded scholarships to students who overcame difficulties and excelled in their studies. These actions, though not large in scale, demonstrate the responsibility and compassion of the Chinese community towards their homeland.

Entering the new year, we are confident that with the leadership of the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial People's Committee, and the attention of Party committees and authorities at all levels, Chau Doc ward in particular, and An Giang province in general, will continue to develop comprehensively. On behalf of the Chinese community in Chau Doc, I hope that our compatriots will continue to promote the spirit of national unity, focus on economic development, improve living standards, and participate more actively in social welfare activities, working together to build a more prosperous, beautiful, and civilized An Giang.

* Ms. Duong Ngoc Thanh - owner of Tan Toan fish sauce facility, 634/3 Nguyen Trung Truc Street, Rach Gia Ward: HOPES TO EXPAND THE MARKET AND TAKE THE PRODUCT FURTHER.

2025 was a memorable year for my production facility. I received a great deal of attention and support from various levels and sectors in my production and business activities, especially in product introduction and promotion.

I was given the opportunity by the Provincial Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion Center and the People's Committee of Rach Gia Ward to participate in many fairs and events such as the Tourism and Food Festival combined with the Trade Promotion Fair and OCOP product fair - Rach Gia, An Giang 2025; displaying products at the traditional festival commemorating the 157th anniversary of the sacrifice of national hero Nguyen Trung Truc; and introducing products at activities of local organizations.

In addition, the Provincial Youth Activities and Youth Entrepreneurship Center organized visits for its members and young people to learn about the production model at the facility. This was a great source of encouragement that helped me gain more confidence in my entrepreneurial journey.

In 2026, I hope to continue participating in fairs, exhibitions, and festivals both within and outside the province to promote my products. I will strive to improve productivity, innovate designs, expand the market beyond the province, and contribute to increasing the value of local products.

*Vo Khai Phu Hung - a student in class 12A4, Vinh Thang Junior and Senior High School: DREAM OF GOING TO UNIVERSITY

For me, the new year 2026 holds a very special meaning because it's the last Tet holiday of my student life. I've made a specific plan to review and prepare for the upcoming high school graduation exam, and at the same time, I will continuously strive to study and improve my knowledge.

Looking back on the past year, I feel I have matured and become more confident in my studies and in life. For the new year, I set a goal to continue striving for good academic results, hoping to pass the university entrance exam and pursue my dream of becoming a teacher.

For me, the new year doesn't need anything too extravagant; I just wish my family, teachers, and friends good health and happiness. I also wish all students will achieve their goals, study well, have smooth exams, and have a very joyful new year.

*Ms. Huynh Thi Xuong, residing in Quarter III - Phao Dai, Ha Tien Ward: EFFECTIVELY IMPLEMENTING ETHNIC POLICIES

Based on my observations, I have noticed that in 2025, Ha Tien ward will experience many positive changes in various aspects of life and urban infrastructure. In particular, ethnic affairs and the implementation of ethnic policies will be given considerable attention and carried out quite well. Infrastructure serving the people is gradually being invested in, the lives of the people, especially ethnic minorities, are improving, and community spirit is being preserved.

Looking ahead, I hope that local authorities will continue to pay closer attention to ethnic affairs, considering this a long-term task in socio-economic development. I especially hope that policies caring for elderly people from ethnic minority groups will be fully and promptly implemented, from healthcare to improving their spiritual well-being.

*Mr. Nguyen Si Tien - Director of Phu Thinh An Khanh Agricultural Service Cooperative, Khanh Binh Commune: EXPANDING THE MANGO EXPORT MARKET

In 2025, Phu Thinh An Khanh Agricultural Service Cooperative had 7 members, with approximately 13.5 hectares of mango orchards. The cooperative guarantees the purchase of the produce at a fixed price, ensuring a profit margin of over 30% for its members. Currently, the cooperative supplies mangoes to export companies for markets such as the United States, China, Australia, and New Zealand.

In 2026, I hope to establish links with businesses to expand the export market for mangoes abroad with fixed-price contracts, creating a stable output. At the same time, I aim to quickly obtain planting area codes, ensure traceability, produce according to the value chain, and increase income for cooperative members.

My fellow cooperative members and I hope for a successful new year, stable income, improved living standards, and a growing reputation for our products in both domestic and international markets. We hope that in 2026, favorable weather conditions and effective pest control will ensure uniform mango growth, high yields, and quality. We will continue to work together, strictly adhering to safe farming practices and meeting the stringent export standards of international markets.

*Mr. Danh Phi - a successful farmer and businessman in Vinh Thong ward: HOPES FOR STABLE MARKET FOR AGRICULTURAL PRODUCTS

Over the past year, despite facing many difficulties due to weather and market fluctuations, thanks to the timely guidance of the Provincial Party Committee and the government at all levels, agricultural production and the lives of farmers have still seen positive changes.

As we enter the new year 2026, I hope for favorable weather conditions and smooth production so that farmers can work with peace of mind. My biggest concern is the market for agricultural products. I sincerely hope the province will have fundamental solutions to stabilize the consumer market, avoiding the situation of bumper harvests leading to price drops; and strengthen trade promotion and linkages for the consumption of key products and OCOP products of the locality.

Furthermore, I hope that preferential loan sources will continue to be expanded, creating favorable conditions for farmers to invest in production; and that there will be policies to support agricultural startups, especially for rural youth. I also expect that training and workshops on the application of science, technology, and digital transformation in agriculture will receive more attention so that farmers do not fall behind.

*Mr. Gosaly - Deputy Imam of Nek Mah Mosque - Deputy Head of the Cham Islam Community Representative Board in An Giang: THE LIVES OF THE CHAM PEOPLE ARE BECOMING INCREASINGLY STABLE

In the peaceful rhythm of life in the Cham villages along the Hau River, as we enter the new year, we entrust many wishes to the local authorities. First and foremost, we hope for favorable weather, a bountiful harvest, stable employment for the people to take care of their lives, and to provide their children with a proper education.

The Cham people also hope that ethnic policies will continue to receive more comprehensive and practical attention, especially in the areas of housing, livelihoods, health, and education. Well-invested roads, adequate schools, and health centers close to the people will contribute to improving the quality of life and creating a foundation for the sustainable development of the Cham community.

Furthermore, I hope that the villagers will continue to preserve and promote their traditional cultural identity, from their language and clothing to their religious rituals, so that these beautiful values can be passed on to the younger generation. The Cham people of An Giang always trust in the leadership and support of the Party, the State, and the local government in their future development.

*Mr. Doan Phi Long - Director of Khanh An Agricultural Cooperative, Khanh Binh Commune: FARMERS CAN INVEST IN PRODUCTION WITH CONFIDENCE

In 2025, unfavorable weather conditions coupled with rising agricultural input prices significantly impacted farmers' production and income. Looking ahead to 2026, I hope for more favorable production conditions, with abundant harvests and good prices for agricultural products.

I hope the government will strengthen measures to combat counterfeit, fake, and substandard goods; stabilize the prices of agricultural inputs so that farmers can reduce their input costs. At the same time, there needs to be more policies to support product consumption linkages and stabilize output prices for agricultural products.

Furthermore, I expect farmers to have access to preferential loan sources to expand production; to have funds supporting investment in high-tech agriculture; and to receive timely risk sharing in the event of natural disasters, helping them feel secure and committed to agriculture in the long term.

Reporters and collaborators performed the work.
