| Urban sanitation efforts are intensified during the holiday season. |
Specifically, HEPCO is implementing a large-scale comprehensive cleaning campaign to beautify and maintain urban hygiene. This includes: increasing waste collection; sweeping streets and sidewalks; removing illegal advertising and posters; cleaning drainage systems and ditches; and trimming trees and tidying up flowerbeds and parks. HEPCO's workforce is divided into shifts, with increased night shifts, combining mechanical and manual methods to ensure that main roads remain clear and clean. In addition, public trash cans are being cleaned and replenished in high-traffic areas to better serve residents and tourists.
In particular, HEPCO deployed personnel to be on duty 24/7 at "hot spots" in the city center, quickly handling any arising situations and contributing to maintaining urban environmental hygiene throughout the holiday. Simultaneously, the unit also increased lighting on roads, historical sites, and prominent locations in Hue city such as Trang Tien Bridge and Nguyen Hoang Bridge... to add more highlights to Hue, serving residents and tourists before, during, and after Independence Day.
Mr. Tran Huu An, Deputy General Director of HEPCO, shared that maintaining urban hygiene is not only a regular task but also a responsibility and a source of pride for the entire HEPCO team as they contribute to building a radiant, clean, and beautiful Hue, in celebration of the nation's important holiday.
