Geographical location of Hai Phong

Hai Phong is a coastal city located in the Northeast region of the Red River Delta, with geographical coordinates from 20 ^° 30'39" to 21 ^° 01'15" North latitude and 106 ^° 23'39" to 107 ^° 08'39" East longitude. Administrative boundaries: To the north, it borders Quang Ninh province; to the south, it borders Thai Binh province; to the west, it borders Hai Duong province; and to the east, it borders the Gulf of Tonkin.

Hai Phong boasts a comprehensive transportation network: sea, road, rail, inland waterway, and air. Its strategic location facilitates connections with domestic and international provinces through important transportation systems such as National Highway 5, National Highway 10, the Hanoi-Hai Phong Expressway, the Hanoi-Hai Phong railway, Cat Bi International Airport, and Hai Phong Port. It serves as a crucial hub and gateway to the sea for northern provinces, connecting to international maritime routes. Hai Phong is one of the largest economic centers in the country; ranking second in the Northern Key Economic Region and one of the three leading engines of economic development in the region (along with Hanoi and Quang Ninh). Within the "Two Corridors, One Economic Belt" economic cooperation initiative between Vietnam and China, Hai Phong city is a key economic center.
