On June 7, in Ba Ria-Vung Tau, Region 6 of the Navy held the opening of the competition for libraries, reading rooms, and Ho Chi Minh rooms. Colonel Tran Hong Hai, Deputy Political Commissar of Region 2 attended and directed.

The competition for libraries, reading rooms, and Ho Chi Minh rooms in 2023 of the Naval Region 2 had the participation of 3 libraries, 6 reading rooms and 6 Ho Chi Minh rooms. For the library and reading room competition, the teams participated in the following topics: awareness, facilities, library professional books, book introduction clip, book discussion. For the Ho Chi Minh room exam, candidates perform the following contents: awareness, facilities, books of Ho Chi Minh room, introduction to Ho Chi Minh room, internal radio program.
The book discussion part was themed "Promoting tradition, dedicating talents, worthy of the name of Uncle Ho's soldier - Navy soldier". The units selected books written about the glorious traditions of the Party, State, army, service, Region 2; books about life, career, thought, morality and style of Ho Chi Minh; a story about an advanced example and a book by General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong on “Determination, perseverance, fighting against corruption and negativity, contributing to building an increasingly clean Party and State, strong"…
The contest aims to evaluate the actual operation of the library, reading room, and Ho Chi Minh room in the whole region. Thereby continuing to raise awareness and responsibility of party committees, political commissars, politicians, commanders of agencies and units in leadership and direction. This is also an opportunity to exchange experiences, consolidate and improve the qualifications, knowledge, expertise and professionalism of the staff working in the library, reading room, and Ho Chi Minh room in the coming time. The contest runs until June 9.
