Building a "Green Garbage Pit" model

In An My village, Cam Tuyen commune, Cam Lo district Women's Union (CWU) in collaboration with Cam Tuyen commune Women's Union organized the launching of the "Green trash pit" model. This is the model chosen by Cam Lo district Women's Union as a model for replication.

Accordingly, the "Green Garbage Pit" model was built in 10 households in An My village. The pit was built with bricks, with a volume of 0.7 m ³ _, and a tight lid on top; the cost to build each pit was about 1 million VND, invested by the households themselves. With this "Green Garbage Pit" model, the amount of organic waste in daily life is put into the pit by the families along with EM products to make fertilizer for plants.

This is one of the important solutions for women to effectively classify waste at source, contributing to environmental protection to build advanced new rural areas, and model new rural areas. At the same time, effectively carry out the movement to build "5 no 3 clean" families.

After An My village, Cam Lo District Women's Union will continue to propagate and mobilize women's union members in localities throughout the district to replicate this model to join hands in building a bright - green - clean - beautiful environment.

On this occasion, Cam Tuyen Commune Women's Union also launched the model "Safe village for women and children".
