In An My village, Cam Tuyen commune, the Women's Union of Cam Lo district, in coordination with the Women's Union of Cam Tuyen commune, launched the "Green Waste Pit" model. This model was selected by the Women's Union of Cam Lo district as a pilot project for wider implementation.

Accordingly, the "Green Waste Pit" model was built in 10 households in An My village. Each pit is constructed of brick, with a capacity of 0.7 m³ and a tightly sealed lid; the cost to build each pit is approximately 1 million VND, funded by the households themselves. With this "Green Waste Pit" model, the organic waste generated daily is placed in the pit along with EM microbial solution to be used as fertilizer for plants.
This is one of the important solutions for women to effectively sort waste at source, contributing to environmental protection and building advanced new rural areas and model new villages. At the same time, it helps to effectively implement the campaign to build "5 no's and 3 clean" families.
Following the example of An My village, the Cam Lo District Women's Union will continue to promote and encourage female members in all localities throughout the district to replicate this model, contributing to the joint effort to build a bright, green, clean, and beautiful environment.
On this occasion, the Women's Union of Cam Tuyen commune also launched the model "Safe Village for Women and Children".
