(NLĐO) - Leaders of Lam Dong province and the Vietnam Railway Corporation want to build the Da Lat - Trai Mat railway into the most beautiful railway line in Vietnam.

On the evening of December 24th, at Da Lat Station (Da Lat City, Lam Dong Province), Vietnam Railways Corporation officially launched the La Reine (Queen) train on the Da Lat – Trai Mat route.

The launch of the La Reine cruise ship is part of the activities celebrating the 10th Da Lat Flower Festival – 2024, promising to become an attractive and novel tourism product for visitors to Da Lat.

Attending the ceremony, Acting Secretary of the Lam Dong Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Thai Hoc stated that the locality will coordinate with the railway industry to gradually upgrade the Da Lat - Trai Mat railway line, creating a unique product to attract tourists to Da Lat - Lam Dong in the future.

"We aim to develop the Da Lat - Trai Mat tourist railway into the most beautiful railway line in Vietnam. The flower-lined railway route will be the most beautiful in Vietnam," Mr. Hoc shared.

Mr. Dao Anh Tuan, General Director of the Railway Transport Company, said that the carriages of the vintage train are a harmonious blend of Indochinese and French styles in the romantic setting of Da Lat city. The new carriages possess both the classic beauty of East Asia and the romantic, poetic charm of Da Lat.

The train carriages are decorated with paintings, images, and check-in spaces in shades of purple, symbolizing balance and harmony, representing peace, harmony, loving connection, and the romantic atmosphere of the city of flowers.

The train is designed with 36 seats along both sides, and notably, the carriages feature 12-seat VIP compartments with elegant and luxurious seating. These VIP compartments are ideal for families who want a private space. Passengers can enjoy artichoke tea, free Wi-Fi, and live music performances on board.

Vietnam Railways Corporation announced that passengers purchasing group tickets for 10 or more people will receive a discount of 15% to 40% on ticket prices. Two night trains will also offer light meals. Current ticket prices range from 80,000 to 170,000 VND per person per trip.
