Xiaomi launches the budget-friendly Redmi Note 12 Explorer.

As one of Xiaomi's recently launched smartphones, the Redmi Note 12 Explorer promises to attract a lot of consumer attention.

According to Blazetrends , the top-of-the-line Redmi Note 12 can fully charge its 4,300 mAh battery in less than 10 minutes. Specifically, it can charge from 0% to 100% in just 9 minutes thanks to its maximum charging power of 210W. In fact, just 5 minutes connected to a power source is enough to charge 66% of the phone's battery.

The Redmi Note 12 Explorer is priced at around $330.

Xiaomi

This technology is proprietary to Xiaomi and not a standard established by the Power Delivery corporation like USB-PD, a 50V, 5A charging standard that allows charging at up to 240W. To achieve its own power output, Xiaomi chose to keep the voltage relatively low at 20V but for three channels, each channel delivering 3.5A. Therefore, the product delivers 210W across three channels, equivalent to approximately 70W per channel – which remains within the maximum 100W limit.

To ensure user safety, Xiaomi has implemented GaN technology, which generates very little heat during charging and prevents fire hazards. The Redmi Note 12 Explorer charger measures 67.3 x 64.3 x 30 mm and will provide a maximum power of 210W even in countries with 110V-based power grids.

The highlight of the Redmi Note 12 Explorer is its 210W super-fast charging capability.

In addition to its 210W charging capability, the Redmi Note 12 Explorer also stands out for its use of a 200MP image sensor from Samsung. This same component is also found in the significantly more expensive Xiaomi 12T Pro smartphone.

In addition, the Redmi Note 12 Explorer also comes with a 6.67-inch diagonal OLED display with a high refresh rate of up to 120 Hz, as well as Full HD+ resolution. It also features an 8 MP front camera and a 2 MP (macro lens) camera.

The new Redmi Note 12 Explorer will go on sale in China on October 31st for the equivalent of $330. It is currently unclear whether the product will be released globally.
