The Hanoi Department of Health Inspectorate has just issued a decision to impose administrative penalties on 11 medical and pharmaceutical establishments with a total fine of nearly 346 million VND, including suspending the operations of 2 units for a period of 3 months.
The Dong Phuong Multi-Specialty Clinic, under Truong Minh Medical Co., Ltd. (497 Quang Trung Street, Phu La Ward, Ha Dong District), was fined 135 million VND and had its operating license revoked for 3 months; the professional practice certificate of Mr. Le Ngoc Chinh was revoked for 2 months; and it was ordered to remove and delete advertisements that had not been approved by the competent authorities.
This unit provided medical examination and treatment services beyond the scope of expertise specified in its medical examination and treatment license; created patient records and medical charts but failed to clearly and completely record all items in the medical chart according to the legally prescribed form; and advertised specialized services without the content being approved by the competent state agency.
Bac Viet Multi-Specialty Clinic, under Tan Thien Hoa Investment Joint Stock Company (73 Tran Duy Hung Street, Trung Hoa Ward, Cau Giay District), was fined 94 million VND and had its operating license revoked for 3 months; Mr. Le Viet Anh's professional practice certificate was also revoked for 2 months.
The reason is that this unit provided medical examination and treatment services beyond the scope of expertise stated in its medical examination and treatment license; and created patient records and medical charts but did not clearly and completely record all the items in the medical record according to the legally prescribed form.

Dong Hiep Trading and Investment Joint Stock Company (Lot CN7, Tu Liem Industrial Cluster, Minh Khai Ward, Bac Tu Liem District) was fined 45 million VND for advertising cosmetics without having the content approved by the competent state agency before conducting the advertisement as required by regulations, and was also ordered to remove, dismantle, and delete the inappropriate advertisement.
Tran Gia Trading Development Co., Ltd. (No. 149 Xuan Thuy Street, Dich Vong Hau Ward, Cau Giay District) was fined 25 million VND and ordered to recall the goods and remove the false and misleading information from the labels.
The storage facility of Asia Pacific Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company (No. 26, branch 48/28, Dai Linh Street, Trung Van Ward, Nam Tu Liem District) lacked internal regulations, resulting in an administrative fine of 12 million VND.
Four private pharmacies were fined 7.5 million VND each for failing to submit applications for periodic assessments of their compliance with good retail pharmacy practices. These pharmacies are: Toan Thang Pharmacy (Khe Nu Hamlet, Nguyen Khe Commune, Dong Anh District); Huy Vy Pharmacy (27 Bac Lai Xa Street, Hamlet 2, Lai Xa Village, Kim Chung Commune, Hoai Duc District); Manh Phong 6 Pharmacy (70 Chua Lang Street, Lang Thuong Ward, Dong Da District); and Mai Thuy Pharmacy (36 Group 5, Yen So Street, Yen So Ward, Hoang Mai District).
Kangjin Aesthetic Clinic, a subsidiary of Kangjin Vietnam Joint Stock Company (2nd floor, 14-16 Mai Hac De Street, Nguyen Du Ward, Hai Ba Trung District), was fined 4 million VND for administrative violations for failing to display prices for medical examination and treatment services.
Cococherry Cosmetics Co., Ltd. (House No. 6, adjacent to No. 12, Yen Xa Hamlet, Tan Trieu Commune, Thanh Tri District) was fined 750,000 VND for selling goods with labels that did not contain all or correctly stated the required information. The Hanoi Department of Health Inspectorate also ordered the company to recall the goods and to correctly label them before reselling them.
