On the evening of September 19th, the National Costume segment of the Miss Cosmo 2024 competition took place in Ninh Binh. In this important event, Miss Bui Thi Xuan Hanh – representing Vietnam – competed against more than 50 beauties from countries around the world .

According to the Miss Cosmo organizers, in the national costume segment, each representative brings a unique cultural story through the traditional attire of their country. This gives beauty pageant enthusiasts the opportunity to explore the culture and unique identity of different nations around the world. Just before the Miss Cosmo 2024 national costume competition, Bui Thi Xuan Hanh caused concern among fans when she posted a picture of herself lying in a hospital bed receiving IV fluids. "Hopefully everything will be alright tonight," Xuan Hanh shared.

The Vietnamese representative showcased a costume called "Tý Hỷ," inspired by the "Mouse Wedding" painting from the Đông Hồ folk art tradition. On the stage of the National Costume competition, Xuân Hạnh received enthusiastic applause from the audience as she performed graceful dances after descending from a palanquin inspired by the Phoenix palanquin at the Huế Imperial Citadel, and performing with a 5kg parasol as a prop. The Vietnamese representative performed a spinning motion while holding the parasol, adding to the difficulty when the parasol spewed out sparks.

What did Miss Ngoc Chau say about Bui Thi Xuan Hanh's performance in the national costume segment at Miss Cosmo 2024?

Speaking to Dan Viet reporters after the national costume competition, Miss Ngoc Chau praised Bui Thi Xuan Hanh. "Before the national costume competition at Miss Cosmo 2024, I hadn't seen Xuan Hanh's performance after some adjustments. Today, watching her performance on stage, I felt so happy and overwhelmed because my younger sister performed with such confidence. I hope that with this performance, everyone will continue to cheer and support Xuan Hanh on her journey to conquer the Miss Cosmo 2024 crown."
