Xuan Son's price has dropped again.

Striker Nguyen Xuan Son's market value continues to decline due to his failure to reach his best form and physical condition after a long-term injury.

Injuries have caused Xuan Son's value to continuously decline.

According to the latest update from Transfermarkt , the striker currently playing for Nam Dinh is valued at 600,000 euros, dropping to 10th place on the list of most expensive players in V.League 1. This is the second consecutive drop in Xuan Son's value, after previously reaching a peak of 700,000 euros. In September 2025, his value decreased to 650,000 euros.

Nevertheless, Xuan Son remains the most valuable player in the Vietnamese national team's squad during the March training camp. Following closely behind is Vietnamese-American defender Jason Pendant (500,000 euros), while goalkeeper Nguyen Filip and midfielder Nguyen Quang Hai are both valued at 400,000 euros.

Xuan Son's decline is mainly due to the long period he had to play because of injury. Before that, the striker born in 1997 made a strong impression by scoring 7 goals in just 7 matches in the V.League 2024/25, becoming the main attacking force for Nam Dinh and a great hope for the national team's attack.

Xuan Son's explosive form earned him a long-term contract extension until 2031, demonstrating the absolute trust placed in him by the Nam Dinh team. However, since his return, he has yet to regain his best form. His poor physical condition has forced him to train separately during the last two training sessions with the Vietnamese national team.

According to the schedule, the Vietnamese national team will play a friendly match against Bangladesh on March 26th at Hang Day Stadium, before facing Malaysia on March 31st in the 2027 Asian Cup qualifiers. With the attacking line needing stability, Xuan Son's fitness is clearly a headache for coach Kim Sang-sik.
