Through the field inspection on the Ho Chi Minh road in our province, the inspection team discovered the damaged condition of the taluy Duong retaining wall at Km1448+715 on Ho Chi Minh Road, the section through Dak Kroong commune (Dak Glei district) at risk. very high risk for construction safety and traffic safety. Accordingly, the section of positive talus retaining wall from Km1448+715 to Km1448+733 (on the opposite line) was shifted from two positions to the road by about 2 cm and 20 cm compared to the original position. On the top of the retaining wall is a high talus roof with a very large volume of soil, which has a high risk of landslides. The structural protection system of this taluyyang has been severely damaged. Many cracks and landslides with a very large volume of soil with a length of tens of meters caused the concrete blocks to be displaced. The iron braced concrete system, which is displaced by the rock and soil, is at risk of landslide at any time.
According to Kon Tum Road Construction and Management Joint Stock Company (the unit assigned to manage, repair and maintain), in 2003 the Ho Chi Minh road was completed and put into use. At the position of positive slopes from Km1448+715 to Km1448+733 with a height of hundreds of meters above the road surface with a very large volume of soil and rock. Although the talus roof is constructed at a level to ensure safety against slippage, over the years this position has begun to deteriorate seriously. Besides, in recent times, heavy rain caused landslides at the top of the talus and then poured down to the foot of the roof, which made this safety system more serious.
Facing the above situation, the management unit has installed warning signs for the dangerous landslide at the two ends of the above location and strengthened the monitoring of damage to propose remedial measures when necessary to ensure safety. construction safety and traffic safety.
