In the first two months of the year, durian exports reached over 41,000 tons, generating nearly $146 million in revenue, a 2.8-fold increase in both volume and value compared to the same period in 2025. Fresh durian still accounted for the majority, representing 80.5% of the export value, equivalent to $117.5 million; while frozen durian accounted for 19.2%, reaching nearly $28 million. Thus, after more than a year of implementation, the frozen durian segment has gradually stabilized, contributing to reducing the pressure on fresh durian consumption during the peak season. In addition, Vietnam also exports some processed durian products such as dried durian, juice, and puree, but the value remains modest. Regarding price, in the first two months of the year, the average export price of fresh durian reached $3,411 per ton, a decrease of 2.4% compared to the same period last year. Conversely, the price of frozen durian increased by 14.8%, reaching $4,228 per ton.
