Building houses for people throughout Tet holiday.

Despite it being the first day of the 2026 New Year's holiday, officers and soldiers of the 574th Armored Brigade, Military Region 5, are still working diligently on the Quang Trung Campaign to complete new houses for the people of Hoa Thinh commune, Dak Lak province - a locality severely damaged by the recent floods.

Over the past month, despite the severe damage caused by the devastating floods, new houses are gradually being completed, bringing joy and confidence to the residents.

Sergeant Tran Bao Trung, who participated in building houses for the people these days, shared, "Even though it's New Year's Day, we are very happy and proud to help the people have new homes, and we are determined to carry out the 'Quang Trung Campaign' at lightning speed."

Mr. Nguyen Van Hoan's family (Hoa Thinh commune, Dak Lak province) is having their house built by soldiers of the 574th Armored Brigade. He expressed his gratitude: "Thank you to the soldiers for coming to help. Even though it's a holiday, they still didn't take a break."

In implementing the "Quang Trung Campaign," the 574th Armored Brigade mobilized nearly 150 officers and soldiers to help people build and repair houses. The brigade undertook the construction of 8 new houses and the repair of 4. From the beginning of December until now, the unit has focused on implementing measures to accelerate progress and hand over the houses to the households as soon as possible. The unit aims to complete the campaign by January 10th.

According to Lieutenant Colonel Hoang Nam Thanh, Deputy Political Commissar of the 574th Armored Brigade, despite it being New Year's Day, 2026, with the spirit of the "Quang Trung Campaign," officers and soldiers are striving to work even on holidays, during breaks, and at night, determined to ensure the best construction progress and quality to hand over houses to the people as soon as possible so they can stabilize their lives.

Some military families in the unit also suffered damage to their homes and property in the recent historic floods, but all officers and soldiers still upheld their sense of responsibility, overcame difficulties, and were determined to complete their mission with the motto "Building houses for the people is like building houses for ourselves."
