According to the State Treasury ( Ministry of Finance ), as of 5 PM today, September 2nd, all 3,321 communes and wards nationwide have completed withdrawing funds from the State Treasury to organize National Day gift-giving to the people. The total amount is 10,700.3 billion VND.

Over the past few days, people in many localities across the country have been eagerly going to receive gifts for National Day.
Receiving 200,000 VND for himself and his wife on August 31st, Mr. Nguyen Van Quy (residing in Vu Ninh Ward, Bac Ninh Province) emotionally shared: "This year I am over 70 years old, also a veteran, having experienced war and bombs, so I cherish peace even more. The government giving each citizen 100,000 VND to celebrate Independence Day makes the joy and meaning multiplied many times over."
However, as of September 2nd, many people had not yet received their National Day gifts. "I only saw information about the National Day gifts in the newspapers. My family hasn't registered to receive gifts through the electronic identification application (VNeID), but so far we haven't received any notification from the neighborhood committee," said Ms. Nguyen Thi Huyen (residing in Phu Dien Ward, Hanoi ).
According to our reporter's investigation, many residential areas in Hanoi are currently continuing to announce the locations and times for residents to receive National Day gifts after September 2nd.
People coming to receive gifts are reminded to bring their citizen identification cards. Children who do not yet have citizen identification cards should bring their birth certificates.
The elderly couple were delighted to receive a gift of 100,000 VND: "80 years of independence, we're so happy!"
The Ministry of Finance has instructed that gifts for citizens should be given on a household basis. Citizens can receive gifts in one of two ways: via bank transfer to their social security account integrated into VNeID, or directly in cash at payment points organized by the local authorities.
The People's Committee of the commune will decide on a suitable location for gift distribution based on practical conditions, prioritizing locations convenient for citizens. The gift giving and receiving period will be from August 30th, and no later than September 15th.
Previously, on August 28th, the Prime Minister issued Official Dispatch No. 149/CĐ-TTg regarding the giving of gifts to citizens on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day on September 2nd. The gift amount was 100,000 VND per person.
