Today (February 19th), Ho Chi Minh City University of Education began accepting registrations for the first phase of the 2024 specialized competency assessment exam.

Accordingly, in 2024, Ho Chi Minh City University of Education plans to organize three exam sessions. The first session will take place over three days, from March 29-31, at the university. Candidates can register for the exam from February 19 to March 15. The remaining two sessions are expected to take place in May, and candidates can register in April.

Candidates register and pay the exam fee online at: https://dkdgnl.hcmue.edu.vn/. Candidates create an account by entering their full name, citizen identification number (CCCD), gender, date of birth, phone number, and email address. After completing the registration steps, candidates will be given a password to log into the system using their CCCD number.

In the registration system, candidates have the right to choose their preferred subject and exam time slot. Next, candidates must complete the payment of the exam fee within 24 hours of registration. The exam fee is 200,000 VND per attempt for the following subjects: Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology; 300,000 VND per attempt for Literature; and 500,000 VND per attempt for English. Candidates can choose to pay via Momo e-wallet or bank transfer using a QR code on their banking application.

It is expected that a maximum of 3,410 candidates will be able to take the exam in the first phase.

According to Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Trung, Vice Principal of the school, candidates can register to participate in one or more different exam sessions, and one or more different tests within the same session. However, within each exam session, candidates are not allowed to register for the same test multiple times.

Updating the situation regarding candidates registering for the exam right from the start, Master Trung said that after 5 hours of opening the system, nearly 390 candidates had successfully registered (accounting for nearly 12% of the total number of candidates for the first exam session).

"In the first phase, the school expects to accept 3,410 candidates for 6 subjects (each subject has a different number of candidates). Candidates can see the number of remaining candidates for each exam directly in the registration system. Candidates who register beyond the number stipulated for each exam in the first phase will take the exam in the next phase," Mr. Trung emphasized.

This year, the specialized aptitude test at Ho Chi Minh City University of Education consists of 6 subjects: mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology, literature, and English. Candidates take the test on computers at testing centers organized by the university. Candidates can check their test room notification through the registration system 5 days before the test, and the results are also announced on this system after 15-20 days.

The specialized aptitude tests of Ho Chi Minh City University of Education will be graded on a 10-point scale, with scores calculated to the nearest 0.1. The test results will be used for admission according to the university's admission plan, combining both academic results from high school. The admission score will consist of the specialized aptitude test score multiplied by a factor of 2, plus the average score of the remaining two subjects in the chosen subject combination over the six semesters of high school. Candidates applying to a specific major will register to take the aptitude test corresponding to that major.
