According to information from the Department of Dike Management and Disaster Prevention ( Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development ), as of 5 PM on September 10th, the floods caused by Typhoon No. 3 have resulted in at least 157 deaths and missing persons, including 87 deaths and 70 missing persons.

The floods also caused severe damage to agricultural production, with 162,828 hectares of rice and 29,543 hectares of other crops submerged; 15,959 hectares of fruit trees damaged; 1,582 aquaculture cages damaged or swept away; 1,174 livestock and 732,321 poultry killed… Quang Ninh, Hai Phong, Thai Binh, Hai Duong, and Hanoi experienced widespread power outages and communication disruptions.
Due to the prolonged duration of the storm and the sustained intensity of the storm winds, very strong gusts of wind damaged 48,337 houses (concentrated in Quang Ninh with 20,245, Hai Phong with 13,927, Bac Ninh with 3,450, Lang Son with 2,929, etc.); many shops, offices, and schools had their roofs blown off or were damaged.
Numerous advertising signs, telecommunication poles, and mobile phone base stations were knocked down; urban trees were uprooted and felled indiscriminately along roads in Quang Ninh, Hai Phong, Hai Duong, Hanoi, and other areas. Local authorities are continuing to assess and compile statistics on the damage.
