The 2024 Asian Women's Club Volleyball Championship has concluded its group stage with results that held few surprises. In Group A, Duc Giang Chemical Club finished third, winning one match against Kwai Tsing (Hong Kong) and losing two matches against Kuanysh (Kazakhstan) and host team Nakhon Ratchasima. In Group B, Nguyen Thi Bich Tuyen and LPBank Ninh Binh Club finished second, winning two matches against Monolith Sky Risers (Philippines) and Saipa Tehran (Iran) and losing one match against NEC Red Rockets (Japan).

Bich Tuyen (in red) and LPbank Ninh Binh Club will face their long-time rival Hoa Chat Duc Giang in the quarterfinals of the 2024 Asian Club Championship.

Unlike last year's tournament, which only had 4 teams in the semi-finals, this year's quarter-final matches are arranged in a cross-group format. Due to finishing third in Group A, Duc Giang Chemical Club will face their fellow club LPBank Ninh Binh (second in Group B) in the second quarter-final match, which will take place at 1 PM tomorrow (September 26th).

In last year's national volleyball championship final, Nguyen Thi Bich Tuyen and her teammates defeated Duc Giang Chemical Club 3-1, but the two teams played a closely contested match, fiercely battling for points. In this rematch, LPBank Ninh Binh Club maintains its core lineup with national team players Bich Tuyen, Nguyen Thi Trinh, Le Thanh Thuy, Dinh Thi Thuy, and Thai foreign player Warisara Seetaloped.

Russian foreign player Elena Samoilenko promises to help Duc Giang Chemical Club pose a challenge to LPBank Ninh Binh Club.

Meanwhile, Duc Giang Chemical Club has made a notable addition to its foreign player lineup with Elena Samoilenko (Russia) replacing Polina (Azerbaijan). This club also has an advantage over LPBank Ninh Binh with another foreign player, Tichaya Boonlert (Thailand), alongside a quality domestic squad such as Tran Tu Linh and Bich Thuy. Therefore, a fierce and uncompromising match is expected. Elena Samoilenko, who was only used from the final group stage match, is in peak physical condition and is predicted to pose a challenge for LPBank Ninh Binh. Therefore, Nguyen Thi Bich Tuyen and her teammates must fight with high determination, with Bich Tuyen expected to maintain her form and lead the scoring for her team.

The remaining three quarterfinal matches of the 2024 Asian Women's Club Volleyball Championship are as follows: Nakhon Ratchasima vs. Monolith Sky Risers (quarterfinal 1), Kuanysh vs. Saipa Tehran (quarterfinal 3), and NEC Red Rockets vs. Kwai Tsing (Hong Kong) in quarterfinal 4. These three matches are considered to have a significant difference in skill level, and it is highly likely that Nakhon Ratchasima, Kuanysh, and NEC Red Rockets will advance to the semi-finals. The winner of the quarterfinal match between LPBank Ninh Binh and Hoa Chat Duc Giang will face the winner of the match between Nakhon Ratchasima and Monolith Sky Risers.
