Whittier, Alaska

The town of Whittier’s 377 residents live in the Begich Towers. The complex consists of three connected buildings and includes a health clinic, a grocery store, a post office , and a laundromat. Having all of these amenities under one roof is a plus, especially during the rainy and winter months.

Visitors to Whittie should explore the glaciers, see wildlife, and hike the beautiful trails. Summer is the best time to visit here.

Gatlinburg, Tennessee

This mountain town is rich in history and natural beauty. It was originally called White Oak Flats, but was later named after the town’s most hated man, Radford Gatlin. It is home to the Salt and Pepper Shaker Museum, which houses over 20,000 salt and pepper shakers of all shapes, sizes, and materials from around the world . More interesting is the Ripley’s Aquarium, which houses over 10,000 sea creatures, more than the entire population of the town. Visit in the fall for beautiful weather and fall foliage.

Monowi, Nebraska

Hell, Michigan

This is one of the weirdest towns in America. Not only does it have a weird name (Hell), but the town also has Halloween decorations all year round and lots of spooky puns. The weather is great in the summer, so it's a great place to visit.

Bisbee, Arizona

If you like the quirky and unusual, visit Bisbee. It is a 4.5-mile winding path with 1,000 steps. Bisbee hosts an annual stair climbing competition. The town is also home to the Bisbee Inn, a popular haunt for ghostly activity. The best weather in Bisbee is spring and fall.
