On May 21st, the New York Post reported that Andrea del Val caused a stir when she posted a video on social media showing her injuries. The 29-year-old beauty accused stylist Giovanni Laguna of assaulting her on May 19th at a luxury resort in southern France.
In the video that was posted, Andrea appears to have facial injuries, bleeding profusely, and seems to be in a state of panic.
"Look, this is what Giovanni Laguna has done. Congratulations, Giovanni, this is exactly what I wanted, for everyone to see the real you," the beauty queen said in Spanish in the video.
She then panned the camera around the room, showing furniture and belongings scattered and broken everywhere. The stylist Giovanni also appeared in the video, sitting on a chair in the corner. According to sources, Giovanni has now been arrested by the police. The video, allegedly showing the stylist being escorted away by police, was shared by Spanish journalist Jordi Martin. Meanwhile, Andrea Del Val has also been taken to the hospital for examination and treatment of her injuries.

According to reports from Venezuelan and Mexican media, guests at the luxury hotel called the police after hearing shouting and seeing signs of a fight. The exact cause of the assault has not yet been revealed by the police.
Andrea del Val, whose full name is Andrea Carolina del Val Torres, has been active in the modeling industry since 2007 and has since participated in numerous beauty pageants. She was the first runner-up in Miss Grand Venezuela 2024 and later made it to the top 12 of Miss Global 2025.
Laguna is known as a renowned stylist for Latin American celebrities. Since 2023, she has served as the creative director for the Miss Universe Colombia competition.
