Melanie Pizzey, CEO and founder of GPA, said the gender gap is huge on the list of the world’s richest billionaires, with only 15 women compared to 85 men. These women billionaires mostly acquired their wealth through inheritance or marriage. Self-made women billionaires do not have enough wealth to appear on the list.

It's not that they don't have the skills, ideas or work ethic that men do, so there must be some other force driving female entrepreneurs, Melanie Pizzey said.
