ANTD.VN - The Board of Directors of the American Chamber of Commerce (AmCham Hanoi ) has elected Mr. Joseph Uddo as the new Chairman for 2024, replacing Mr. John Rockhold - who held this position in 2022 and 2023.

AmCham Hanoi said that Mr. Joseph Uddo will also assume the role of Chairman of the American Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam this year.
Mr. Uddo said he looks forward to working with AmCham members to promote and further strengthen economic , social and business relations between Vietnam and the United States.
Mr. Uddo has been living and working in Vietnam since 2022 and is the General Director of AES Vietnam, a US-based foreign direct investment company in Vietnam. This is a next-generation energy company with more than four decades of experience supporting the global transition to clean and renewable energy. AES currently has representative offices in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City , Binh Thuan and Quang Ninh.
Founded in 1994, AmCham Hanoi is a non-profit organization whose primary mission is to increase trade and investment between the United States and Vietnam. AmCham members account for billions of dollars in foreign investment, tens of thousands of direct employees, hundreds of thousands of indirect employees, and a significant portion of Vietnam’s exports and taxes.
The US is also one of the leading foreign investors and Vietnam's largest export market.
