Garnacho is said to be no longer in MU's plans. |
According to The Guardian and Daily Mail , the Argentine winger is no longer in coach Ruben Amorim's plans since the defeat in the Europa League final.
The relationship between Garnacho and Amorim is said to have seriously broken down. After the defeat to Tottenham, the young Argentine player continuously made ambiguous statements, while his agent and brother publicly criticized the coaching staff on social media.
Tensions reached a boiling point when Garnacho was left out of the squad for the final game of the season against Aston Villa in the 38th round of the Premier League. According to the revelation, Amorim even said frankly in the dressing room: "You better pray to find a new team."
At 20 years old, Garnacho is still considered a promising talent. Although his performance has not been really stable, he is still one of the most prominent names playing for Man United this season.
As a result, many big clubs quickly joined the race. Chelsea and Napoli - two representatives who will participate in the Champions League next season - are leading the race to sign Garnacho.
Aston Villa have also expressed interest, while Bayer Leverkusen have become the latest to join the list of suitors for the South American talent. New coach Erik ten Hag - who worked with Garnacho at Old Trafford - sees him as a replacement if Florian Wirtz leaves in the summer transfer window.
Although he is no longer valued by Amorim, Garnacho is still a valuable asset on the transfer market. Manchester United are said to not let him go for cheap, given the competition.
With available potential and growing interest from European giants, the Garnacho deal promises to be one of the most notable hot spots of the 2025 summer transfer window.
