At the end of 1954, the Party Committee, government, and people of Thanh Hoa province had the honor of being the first locality entrusted by the Central Party Committee, the Government, and President Ho Chi Minh with the task of receiving and caring for cadres, soldiers, and people from the South who were relocating to the North. The first relocation points were Lach Hoi, Quang Tien, and Sam Son.

The Party Committee, government, and people of Thanh Hoa in general demonstrate their determination to uphold the spirit of mutual support, sharing food and clothing, and dedicating the best things, with all their hearts and affectionate feelings, to their compatriots, cadres, soldiers, and students from the South.
The legendary troop movement was marked by sacred and moving farewells for hundreds of thousands of families.

Chapter 3: The vibrant rhythm of life is a memory of the affectionate Hoi port, a place that deepened the truth that "Vietnam is one, the Vietnamese people are one; rivers may dry up, mountains may wear away, but that truth will never change."
Inheriting and building upon the revolutionary achievements of the past 70 years, under the leadership of the Central Party Committee, the Party Committee and people of all ethnic groups in Thanh Hoa province, together with the whole country, continue to maintain unity within the Party and among the people, awaken the aspiration to contribute, effectively utilize resources, and are determined to build Thanh Hoa into a model province as President Ho Chi Minh wished during his lifetime, contributing to building a more developed, beautiful, civilized, and prosperous country.
