This is the second prestigious gold medal for the Minh Tan - Minh Triet brothers in a month. At the end of September, they stepped onto the top podium in the Open 50+ category at the 2024 World Pickleball Championship Series in Bali (Indonesia). Afterward, athlete Minh Tan affirmed: "Our journey in this tournament showed that in the Open 50+ category, Vietnam fears no one. In most matches, we finished with superior scores, thanks to our ability to utilize the strengths of quick reflexes and dexterity characteristic of Vietnamese players."

As this athlete shared, he and his brother Minh Triet continued to dominate at the PPA Tour Australia - Vietnam Open 2024. At this tournament, Vietnamese athletes also achieved many impressive results. Trinh Linh Giang and Truong Vinh Hien won bronze and silver medals respectively in the men's singles Pro (the highest level of professional skill). Meanwhile, Sophia Huynh Tran and Ho Tam brilliantly defeated the women's doubles pair from Taiwan to win the gold medal in the women's doubles Open 3.5+. In the women's singles Open 3.5+, Sophia Phuong Anh was the gold medalist.
