According to the plan, Nguyen Phich commune will implement the construction of 196 houses for policy families, meritorious people, poor households, disadvantaged households and ethnic minority households. Up to this point, the commune has completed 100% of the construction, of which 80 houses have been completed and put into use, the remaining 60-95% completed, expected to be completed by the end of June.

In Khanh Lam commune, the Youth Union joined hands to support the construction of 193 houses in the commune, of which 98 are under the Program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses; 72 are under the National Target Program for Socio -Economic Development in Ethnic Minority Areas and 23 are for people with meritorious services. In addition to supporting families, the Commune Youth Union also assigned the Hamlet Youth Union Secretary to actively urge the construction progress of houses assigned by the Party Committee to monitor, to complete on schedule. To date, the commune has completed the construction of 168/193 houses.

According to the report of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of U Minh district, after checking, there are 919 houses in the district under the Program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses. Up to now, the whole district has started construction on 876 houses, reaching 95.32%, of which 707 new houses have been built and 169 houses have been repaired. Currently, 658/876 houses have been completed, accepted and put into use, reaching 75.11%; 32 billion 745 million VND has been disbursed out of a total of 57 billion 424 million VND. The above results are thanks to the drastic participation of the entire political system, including great help and support from the district's Youth Union.

Ms. Quach Cam Tu, Deputy Secretary of the District Youth Union, said: “Most grassroots youth unions in communes and towns have established at least one volunteer team, with 15-20 members. In addition to supporting people in dismantling houses, cleaning up furniture, transporting materials, and building foundations, volunteer teams also mobilize and call for social support for gifts, helping families have more conditions to build their houses more quickly. In the coming time, we will continue to coordinate with sectors, organizations, and local militia forces to carry out these activities, joining hands with the locality to properly implement the plan to eliminate temporary houses.”

With the drastic participation of all sectors and levels, along with the joint efforts of the Youth Union, we believe that the Program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in U Minh district will be completed on schedule, ensuring quality, before June 30./.
