This is a strategic move aimed at bringing the most advanced technologies, from processor chips to wireless connectivity, to the mass market segment.
The iPhone 17e is positioned as the most affordable version in the iPhone 17 lineup, yet still boasts worthwhile upgrades. It features the latest generation A19 chip, manufactured using a 3-nanometer process, similar to the standard version, delivering twice the CPU performance of the iPhone 11 series.

Another significant improvement is the Apple-designed C1X cellular modem, which delivers twice the network speed of its predecessor and is 30% more energy efficient.
In terms of display capabilities and durability, the iPhone 17e boasts a Super Retina XDR display with a diagonal size of approximately 15.5 centimeters (6.1 inches) using an OLED panel. The front of the device is protected by Ceramic Shield 2 glass, which provides three times better scratch resistance and significantly reduces glare.
In particular, Apple listened to its users by integrating MagSafe magnetic charging technology and the Qi2 standard with 15W wireless charging power, while also increasing the starting storage capacity to 256GB, double that of its predecessor.
Commenting on the new phone, Kaiann Drance, Apple's Vice President of Global iPhone Product Marketing, said: “The iPhone 17e combines powerful performance and features users love at an affordable price, making it an attractive option for customers looking to upgrade to the iPhone 17 series.”

Along with the new iPhone, the iPad Air also received a leap in performance thanks to the M4 chip. This processor helps the iPad Air achieve a CPU processing speed 30% faster than the M3 generation and 2.3 times faster than the M1 version. The device's RAM capacity has been increased to 12 GB along with a memory bandwidth of 120 GB/second, allowing the device to smoothly run large artificial intelligence (AI) models and complex multitasking on the iPadOS 26 operating system.
The iPad Air M4 series retains two size options: 11-inch and 13-inch, and integrates the N1 network chip supporting Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6. The 12MP front camera has now been moved to the horizontal edge, giving users a more natural viewing angle when making video calls or online meetings.
Bob Borchers, Apple's Vice President of Global Product Marketing, shared: “The iPad Air gives users more ways than ever before to create and work productively, providing the powerful performance and flexibility to help them turn ideas into reality.”
These new products will be available in more than 70 countries and territories, including the United States, Australia, France, Japan, and Vietnam.
