"The global tablet market continued its significant growth momentum in the second quarter, driven by consumer subsidies in China," said Himani Mukka, research director at Canalys .
In the tablet market, Apple maintained its leading position with 14.1 million iPads sold in the second quarter, equivalent to 36.1% of the global market share. This growth was 2.4% higher than the same period last year.
Samsung ranked second with 6.7 million devices sold, accounting for 17.1% of the global tablet market share. Compared to the same period last year, Samsung's sales decreased by 1.8%.
The next positions were held by Huawei (8.3% market share), Lenovo (7.9% market share), and Xiaomi (7.8% market share). All three manufacturers saw strong year-on-year growth, with the main driver of this growth coming from the Chinese market.

Experts say the market is also benefiting from a wave of new product launches, particularly in the gaming device segment. The growing consumer interest in this area has helped gaming tablets emerge as a niche growth segment, especially in Asia.
Some notable products include the Xiaomi Redmi K Pad and the Vivo Pad5. Meanwhile, Lenovo's Legion Tab sales more than doubled compared to the previous quarter. Manufacturers are also making tablets a key element in their connected ecosystems.
