At the 5th International Conference on Cooperation between Vietnam and Foreign Non- Governmental Organizations, AstraZeneca Vietnam was one of four foreign enterprises honored for initiatives that have a real impact on public health and environmental protection.
This recognition reflects the company's long-term commitment to investing in public health and environmental initiatives, with the Young Health Programme (YHP) being a prime example of efforts to improve the health of future generations and contribute to building a foundation for sustainable development in Vietnam.

The Youth Health Program (YHP) aims to promote health equity for adolescents through early prevention of non-communicable diseases (NCDs) such as cardiovascular disease, diabetes, chronic respiratory diseases, and cancer; and to equip them with the knowledge, skills, and healthy behaviors to reduce risk factors early on.
The program is implemented by Plan International Vietnam in close coordination with the Ministry of Education and Training of Vietnam and the Hanoi Department of Education and Training, schools to bring health education content to schools and communities.
Since 2019, AstraZeneca has invested nearly $2 million in YHP in Vietnam and is committed to continuing its partnership until 2029.
To date, YHP has directly reached nearly 50,000 young people, trained hundreds to become peer educators, and inspired over half a million people in the community, including parents, teachers, and healthcare workers. This is an encouraging result that contributes to reducing the burden of disease in the future through early intervention in the young population.
