Asus became one of the first laptop manufacturers to announce devices based on the new chip, with the compact ZenBook 14 OLED (UX3405) featuring a metal body that is 5% smaller than its predecessor. At the same time, it weighs only 1.28 kg.
The ZenBook 14 OLED is one of the first laptops to feature a Core Ultra CPU.
The new product features a 14-inch OLED display. The standard version has a Full HD resolution, but users also have the option of a version with a 2880 x 1800 pixel resolution screen. In both cases, the screen has a 16:10 aspect ratio. The panel offers a 120 Hz refresh rate, a maximum brightness of 600 cd/ m² , and 100% DCI-P3 color space coverage. The screen is DisplayHDR 600 True Black certified. The design includes an AiSense camera supporting 1080p resolution and 3D noise reduction technology.
In its top configuration, the ZenBook 14 OLED features an Intel Core Ultra 7 155H CPU, integrated Intel Arc graphics, up to 32GB of LPDDR5x-7467 RAM, and a 1TB PCIe 4.0 SSD. Base versions come with a Core Ultra 5 125H CPU, 8GB of RAM, and a 512GB SSD. A key feature of the new Intel chips is their special neural processing unit (NPU) designed to accelerate artificial intelligence tasks.
Despite its slim 14.9mm thickness, the ZenBook 14 OLED is equipped with a pair of Thunderbolt 4 (USB-C) ports, an HDMI 2.1 port, a USB 3.2 Gen 1 (Type A) port, and a combined audio jack. Wireless connectivity is provided by Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3 modules. The 75 Wh lithium-polymer battery promises up to 15 hours of battery life without recharging. Users can charge the Thunderbolt 4 port at 65W via the included USB-C adapter. The audio system includes Harman Kardon speakers with Dolby Atmos technology.
The Asus ZenBook 14 OLED will begin shipping in early 2024 with a starting retail price of $1,299.
