AWS introduces a range of new security services.

Accordingly, AWS announced a preview version of Amazon CodeGuru Security, a static security testing tool for applications (SAST), which uses machine learning (ML) technology to help customers identify security vulnerabilities in their programs and guide them through possible remediation measures. The service also provides contextual program patches for certain types of vulnerabilities, saving effort in bug fixing.

Additionally, the company introduced Amazon Inspector, a vulnerability management service that now provides unified Software Bill of Materials (SBOM) output for all Amazon Inspector-monitored resources across the organization in industry-standard formats, including CycloneDx and SPDX.

Regarding management tools, AWS announced the availability of CloudTrail Lake dashboards. CloudTrail Lake dashboards are available with features that provide leading-edge monitoring visibility and in-depth analytics from audit and security data, directly on the CloudTrail Lake dashboard.

AWS Security Hub also launched a new feature that automates actions for updating findings. With AWS Security Hub, users can use rules to automatically update various fields in findings, matching defined criteria. This allows you to automatically remove and update the severity of findings according to organizational policies, change the workflow state of findings, and add notes.

Regarding encryption, AWS announced Amazon S3 server-side two-factor encryption with encryption keys stored in AWS Key Management Service (DSSE-KMS), a new encryption option in Amazon Simple Storage Service (Amazon S3), which applies two layers of encryption to objects as they are uploaded to the Amazon S3 bucket.

In addition, AWS also announced the Cyber ​​Insurance Partner Program – AWS cybersecurity insurance partners help customers, especially small and medium-sized enterprises, easily find affordable cybersecurity insurance policies that can integrate with their security assessment solutions, with a new, simplified customer experience.
