Bac Ninh will support expenses for students

Speaking with Tien Phong reporter , the leader of the Department of Education and Training of Bac Ninh province said that this agency is submitting to competent authorities for consideration a policy to support study costs for pupils and students.

Accordingly, the conditions to receive support are: students residing in Bac Ninh province who are ethnic minorities; people from poor households, near-poor households; people with disabilities; people without a source of support as prescribed in Clause 1, Clause 2, Article 5 of Decree No. 20/2021/ND-CP dated March 15, 2021 of the Government.

These people have completed the junior high school (JHS) or high school (HS) education program at educational institutions in Bac Ninh province within 1 year from the date of graduation recognition by the competent authority, passed the entrance exam and participated in vocational secondary school or intermediate or college level in Bac Ninh province from the 2025-2026 school year to the 2029-2030 school year.

Students residing in Bac Ninh province who have completed the secondary education program at educational institutions in the province within 1 year from the date of graduation recognition by the competent authority, are admitted and participate in vocational secondary education or intermediate level at training institutions in Bac Ninh province from the 2025-2026 school year to the 2029-2030 school year.

Bac Ninh plans to support study costs for pupils and students.

Each student is only supported once. In case a student studies at multiple training facilities at the same time, he/she will only enjoy the policy at one training facility chosen by the student.

The duration of support is based on the actual study time of the course and not more than 10 months/1 school year; not more than 20 months/1 course of vocational secondary school or intermediate level training program; not more than 30 months/1 course of college level training program.

For students studying training programs based on module and credit accumulation, the support fund is provided according to the converted training time but does not exceed the training time of the major, profession and equivalent training level according to the school year, and is applied to new students from the 2025-2026 school year. Depending on the subject, each student receives support from 200,000 VND to 400,000 VND/month.
