At the close of trading, 5 out of 10 metal commodities saw price declines, with red returning to the metal price chart after the previous positive trading session, mainly due to profit-taking by investors at high prices. For precious metals, silver weakened from its nearly four-month peak, closing at $32.01 per ounce after a 1.27% drop. Conversely, platinum continued its upward trend, rising 0.4% to $991.7 per ounce.

The precious metals market continues to benefit from the large-scale interest rate cuts by the US Federal Reserve (FED). Experts predict that the prices of silver, platinum, and gold will continue to maintain an upward trend in the near future, supported by the low interest rate environment.

Furthermore, escalating geopolitical tensions are also supporting precious metal prices. The market is concerned about the potential for widespread violence in the Middle East as Israel intensifies its attacks on Iran-backed Lebanese Hezbollah militias, with the two sides exchanging missiles even as Israel continues its war in Gaza.

However, silver prices still fell yesterday, mainly due to profit-taking by investors.
