Earlier, at approximately 0:10 AM on July 31st, while patrolling in Hamlet 7, the commune police force discovered a pangolin crawling on a dirt road following a tip from a local resident. Recognizing it as an endangered and rare wild animal belonging to Group IB according to Government Decree 06/2019/ND-CP, the task force quickly secured the pangolin and reported to their superiors to coordinate the handover in accordance with regulations.

That same night, the Loc Hung commune police contacted specialized units to receive and care for the animal. The pangolin weighed 5kg and was approximately 30cm long.

The Loc Hung commune police also urged residents not to hunt, keep, or trade wild animals. When discovering cases of injured animals, animals caught in traps, or animals needing rescue, residents should immediately contact the authorities for timely assistance.
