From Mother to Peace
The highlight of the program lies in the choice of the mother figure as the central theme. In Trinh Cong Son's music , the mother not only appears with sacred maternal love but also embodies the image of the homeland and the nation that has endured so much suffering and loss.
The program was designed to pay tribute to the image of Vietnamese mothers during the war, symbols of sacrifice, compassion, and extraordinary resilience. At the same time, the concert also honored the image of Motherland, Mother Nation, as the source of love, solidarity, and the enduring vitality of the Vietnamese people.

The program's structure comprises three artistic chapters: "Mother in the Realm of Memory," "Embrace of Love," and "Aspiration for Peace – Let's Love Each Other." From war memories to messages of empathy, altruism, and reconciliation, each performance contributes to highlighting the humanistic values that are the red thread running through Trinh Cong Son's works.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Lan, 72 years old, residing in Dong Hoi ward, shared: She has listened to Trinh Cong Son's music since her youth and is always moved whenever she hears songs written about mothers. According to her, these melodies not only evoke memories of a bygone era but also remind today's generation to appreciate the silent sacrifices of Vietnamese mothers.
"Having witnessed much of the loss caused by war, I deeply appreciate the lyrics about peace in Trinh Cong Son's music. Every time I listen to those songs, I always think of the image of the mothers who silently endured suffering so that the country could have a peaceful life today," Ms. Lan shared.
